Inspired by the grey men in Michael Ende’s Momo, by the sounds of the labyrinth marble game, by men(splaining), this piece is trying to make fun of some ridiculous aspects of life while having fun. Because isn’t our existence absurd anyways?

Presented in January 2025 at à suivre Festival in Bern, hats, hats, hats uses the strong imagery, history and sound potential of top hats.

This research resulted in both a performance and an installation, where visitors could try on some sounding hats and enjoy a sound massage of the marbles rolling around in the hats right above one's ears.
